DYSLEXICS GAIN BENEFIT FROM VISTA MESH LENSES

Dyslexics, dyspraxics and those with visual processing challenges are experiencing positive results with Vista Mesh lenses, opticians around the UK report.
The added advantage for image-conscious youngsters is that the lenses appear like normal specs, which ensures greater compliance with wear, says Henry Sessions of Scarborow Opticians in Felixstowe.
“Many youngsters do not want to be seen in coloured lenses so we’re using more and more Vista Mesh for these patients. We find that the reading rate is just as good – sometimes better than when wearing coloured lenses. For those who have trouble with skipping lines, or letters jumping about, the lenses can bring a tremendous benefit, particularly at times of intense studying.
Peter Sanders, an optician in Berkhamstead agreed –
“There is often a eureka moment when patients try Vista Mesh lenses – one shrieked “I can see”. One lad had been written off as a hopeless case at school, but with Vista Mesh we tripled his reading speed – it was that dramatic.”
Jeremy Salmon, an Oxfordshire optician said the lenses brought a positive response –
“They look normal and for youngsters it makes wearing their specs a lot more acceptable.”
