Almost cinema events with Minion specs and Peppa Pig is the way forward for engaging youngsters and special needs patients during eye examinations.  IPRO’s Paskal 3D refraction technology is the smart move away from a mundane letter chart believes award winning optometrist Dr Martin Smith from Lincoln –

“I have 3D Minion goggles for younger children and they are very keen to wear then.  You don’t need to occlude but can still test both eyes independently – it reveals how the eyes function individually and together.”

Belfast’s Mackey Opticians agrees –

“It is brilliant as you are testing in a real life situation – people like the drama of 3D and I like the way you can work out the prisms so easily.  We use it on virtually everyone and the children respond well to the sandcastles and I can suddenly switch to Apple TV and Peppa Pig for retinoscopy with little ones.”

Controlled by an iPad, Paskal 3D offers arms length refraction and can help to provide a relaxed, effective, eye examination with 80 different tests available.
